Course Information for Southridge

Summer School can be a great way for students to retake a class they found difficult, take an intensive math course to get ahead, or get a head start on high school through our 8.5 transitional program. Summer learning opportunities include credit recovery classes, our "8.5" program for incoming 9th graders, and an intensive math original credit option. Credit recovery courses are offered to all eligible students in the district. Students who need to make-up a credit needed for graduation are encouraged to consider attending Summer School.

Beaverton School District students, including options school students, access their home high school first for Summer School. If a course is not offered, students can enroll in another comprehensive high school summer program within the district.

See the links below for registration information. Questions? Contact Joe Traeger, Summer School Coordinator, by using the Contact Us form.

8.5 (Incoming 9th Grade Students of Southridge)

The 8.5 program offers students an opportunity to develop their academic and personal skills in an interactive, high tech, fun environment. Students will participate in team building activities, become familiar with Southridge High School students and staff, and gain valuable skills and habits to help them be successful as a high school student. This year 8.5 is excited to include an Introduction to Engineering and Design component that will introduce students to the new opportunities in robotics, computer science, and 3D modeling and prototyping that SRHS has to offer.
